Choosing a Color Palette Made Easy

November 24, 2018 by Jeanette Leave a Comment

Choosing a color palette can be tricky.

The Color Catalog choosing a color palette DelightfulPaths

Have you ever looked at your finished pictures and thought, “Meh” or even “Yuck” because your color choice was not quite right, or worse still, all wrong?

Do you find yourself using the same color scheme over and over again because it’s the only one you know that works?

Do you often start coloring with one color and then spend ages fiddling around trying to decide what colors will actually go with it?

If you want to

  • take out the guess work when choosing a color palette for coloring books and crafts
  • find a palette to match with an existing color
  • find a color combination to match a particular theme

NLT Inspire Journaling Bible Review

October 20, 2018 by Jeanette Leave a Comment

Review for the NLT Ispire Journaling Bible – a beautiful Bible packed full of illustrations for coloring and wide margins for adding your own doodles, pictures and notes.

A couple of years ago, I discovered the Inspire Journaling Bible, and immediately placed an order for the flexibound version. I initially bought it for the coloring pages sprinkled throughout the book. You see, I love coloring, particularly Bible verses.

And this lovely Bible did not disappoint! It has over 400 pictures to color. Most of these are pictures in the margins, but there are several full page or half page illustrations.

And now I am just starting to draw / trace my own designs in the margins and so I am finding that this Bible is a great journaling Bible for beginners.

So let’s take a look at the pros and the cons.

Inspire Journaling Bible – The Pros

This Bible has been getting raving reviews on Amazon. When I last checked, there were well over 900 reviews and more than 800 of those gave it a 5 star rating. Let me show you why! 🙂

My Favorite Bible Reading Plan (Professor Horner’s)

August 19, 2018 by Jeanette 18 Comments

Read through the Bible in less than one year by reading 10 chapters a day from 10 different sections of the Bible using the Professor Grant Horner Bible reading plan. I’ve also designed three different styles of bookmarks to use with this method of Scripture reading. Scroll down to see them.

For many years my husband and I would do a Bible study together every morning before he left for work. But then he got a job which required him to leave home too early in the mornings. So while we could still continue to do our study together on the weekends, I had to do a Bible reading on my own on weekdays.

At that time (five or six years ago), I came across a website talking about the Professor Grant Horner Bible reading plan where you read ten chapters a day from various sections of the Bible. I had read the Bible all the way through a few times, but decided that I needed the challenge to do it again. My children were grown and were not demanding of my time, so I have been able to use this system, or my own slightly modified version of it, on and off, for several years now.
